We built this website specially to give information about scuba diving at the Similan Islands (including Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock and the Surin Islands). Here you can find information about daytrip diving, overnight diving trips and liveaboard diving safaris to the Similans, plus general information about scuba diving at the Similans, frequently asked questions and accommodation options on Phuket and in Khao Lak, the two departure points for scuba diving trips to the Similans.
If you would like to do a liveaboard diving cruise to the Similans, you can insert a departure date below. All trips with departure on that date plus the day before and after will be shown on a new screen. These will mostly be liveaboards of 4 days/4 nights to Similans, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock, but also longer trips and liveaboard divingsafaris to Burma (Myanmar) will be shown. Similans scuba diving season

Scuba diving trips to the Similans are possible from November till April, with overflow to October and May. In the beginning of the season the visibility is marvelous, 40 meters is no exception, later the amount of plankton in het water increases. That will reduce the visibility, quite often to around 20-25 meters, but increases the chances of a meeting with a mantaray or whale shark, especially at Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock.

Similans diving choice of boats

In order to be able to offer you a good and wide choice we work together with different operators. We have already made a pre-selection: only boats that meet our safety requirements and offer good value for money are included in our selection.
This means we can offer boats in all price- and comfort classes, from basic to extremely luxurious and everything in between.

Not included in the boat prices are the Similans and Surin National Park Fees and if applicable the rent of diving gear. We offer Excellent quality diving gear for rent at very reasonable prices. Similans scuba diving courses
|
| |
On a liveaboard diving safari or on an overnight diving trip to the Similans it is very well possible to do a scuba dive course. Especially the Advanced Open Water course, Nitrox course and the Specialty courses are suited perfectly to be conducted on a liveaboard diving cruise or overnight diving trip: you do not have to study all day long (some relaxed reading is enough) and the dives you make are simply lovely during these diving courses. The charge for these diving courses depends on the boat, but is very reasonable, and will be a surcharge on the trip price.
